RVN is looking for capable, energetic, community-minded individuals who are willing to volunteer some of their time and energy to one of the most successful neighborhood organizations in Chicago. If you live within the boundaries of Roscoe Village and would like to help keep Roscoe Village the vibrant, exciting neighborhood it is, please apply using the form below. Deadline for submission is April 29, 2025.

Roscoe Village Neighbors is a non-profit organization managed by an all-volunteer, 15-member Board of Directors. The three-year terms for the Board of Director positions are staggered and this year there are two Director-at-Large positions up for election. Directors may be re-elected, but must run for re-election. Director-at-Large positions may be filled by any active RVN member, while executive positions may only be filled by members with at least one year of service on the RVN board as a Director-at-Large.

All RVN supporters within the Roscoe Village boundaries will receive an online ballot via email.

What does being an RVN Board Member entail?

The board meets at least 11 times a year, on the second Tuesday of most months. Each board member is encouraged to co-chair two RVN committees and is required to help run Retro on Roscoe, one of the most successful street festivals in Chicago. This year, Retro takes place on the second weekend in September (September 5-7, 2025). New friendships, community connections, and lots of fun are some of the benefits of RVN Board Membership, but, most importantly, you’ll get the satisfaction of knowing that you’re helping to make Roscoe Village the best neighborhood in Chicago!
