We’d like to thank all of the candidates for putting themselves out there and volunteering to make a difference in our community. We’d also like to thank each of our members who took the time to vote in this important election. We had an extremely strong field of candidates and were very pleased with the voter turnout.

This is a very exciting time for RVN. We are growing and striving to serve our community in more ways than ever before. To do that, we need our members to volunteer and pitch in. We have many events and committees that need our members’ support. Whether you are looking to take a leadership role or just volunteer a few hours of time, there is something for everyone. Check out RVN’s website at www.roscoevillage.org to learn about how you can get involved and make a positive difference in Roscoe Village.

Our biggest event of the year, Retro on Roscoe, is August 9th-11th this year and we will be relying heavily on our members to volunteer at the fest. Retro is RVN’s sole fundraiser and its proceeds enable RVN to make financial contributions to Roscoe Village schools, parks, and community organizations. Retro has also made it possible for RVN to improve Roscoe Village streetscapes, install garbage cans throughout the neighborhood, hire a “Clean Team” to pick up loose trash throughout Roscoe Village on a biweekly basis, partner with other community members to sponsor the Neighbors on Watch program, install planters on Roscoe with seasonal plants and flowers, among many other initiatives. We are expecting 2024 to be our best Retro ever and we hope you will be there to volunteer and have a great time!

On behalf of the RVN Board we welcome all of our newly elected Board members and thank them for their dedication to our community!

Sincerely,

Lawrence Peterson, RVN President
